San Diego - Wreck & Kelp Diving Trip

Join us on this amazing dive trip to the Kelp forests of Southern California, home to a unique and diverse ecosystem. The cold California current with its upwelling brings nutrient rich water to the surface and creates the optimum conditions for the growth of Kelp. The area is home to a wide range of fascinating creatures as well as exciting ship wrecks. With a visibility ranging between 15’ and 60’ it is just perfect for scuba diving, for beginners, advanced and experts.

Aboard the 45’ crewboat, the Lois Ann, we have a maximum of 20 divers. Captain Eric and his crew supply snacks and drinks between the dives and fill our tanks with the onboard compressor.

We are planning to drive out on Friday afternoon or evening and with 3 boat dives Saturday afternoon and 2 boat dives Sunday afternoon. All boat dives will be wreck dives on the Yukon and the Ruby E. There is the option to add two beach dives on Monday morning weather permitting. We will be heading back to Tucson on Monday. We will conduct our dry suit, boat and Extended Range Nitrox dives on this trip.
